We want you to have a safe flight, always. As an expectant mother, here is some important information you must know when flying Etihad:

• Etihad Airways allows pregnant travellers up to end of 36 weeks for a single, uncomplicated pregnancy.
• Pregnant travellers who are expecting multiple or complicated pregnancies are allowed up to the end of 32 weeks.
• If the pregnancy is 28 weeks or more the pregnant traveller will be required to submit a Medical Certificate issued by  her Physician, stating fitness for travel, weeks pregnant and estimated due date.
• Etihad Airways recommends travellers to avoid air travel up to 7 days after delivery.
• Etihad Airways advises their guests the following:
a) Wearing compression stockings and elevating feet during flight as the threat of thrombosis is increased in pregnancy.
b) Avoid lifting heavy weights during pregnancy, so particular care should be taken regarding baggage.

Medical Certificate

• Be issued by your medical doctor or attending midwife.
