London is the capital of England and the United Kingdom and home to over 7.6 million people. Situated in the south-east of the country, it’s one of the UK’s most popular destinations for tourists and business people.

London was founded by the Romans and was known originally as Londinium. Today it is the political and economic centre of England, and it’s where you’ll find the Houses of Parliament and the Queen’s main city residence, Buckingham Palace. Situated on the banks of the River Thames, London is divided into 32 boroughs, which include the City of London, the City of Westminster, Camden, Greenwich, and the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea.
