FAQ
Q: Why is this change being made?A: The change is policy is being introduced following a number of enhancements we have made to our fare structure. Being able to offer you prices that bring you the value that you look for when traveling with us along with the benefits our product has to offer, we have had to restructure the method behind earning Etihad Guest Miles to match our service offering.
Q: What level of Tier Miles will I earn?
A: The Tier Miles earning structure will not change. You will still earn the full Tier Miles as per the flown distance of the origin and destination of the given sector.
Q: I am a short haul traveler only, will I still earn Tier Segments?
A: Yes. You will still continue to earn Tier Segments at the same rate as present.

Q: What will I earn as a Family Guest?
A: The Family Membership earning ratio will be the same as stated above. The Guest Miles earned by a Family Guest will continue to be transferred to the Family Head.
Q: Will this change also affect all my earnings on my Partner Airline Flights?
A: Partner Airline earning will vary as per the individual agreements we have with each of our partners, please refer to our partners page for the most up to date details.
Q: Will the number of miles required for a redemption booking also change?
A: No. The value of a redemption booking will not change. Please refer to our Mileage Calculator for full details.
Q: What percentage of Etihad Guest Miles will be awarded as Cabin Bonus under the new earning structure?A: Under the new earning structure, the cabin bonus will form part of the earning structure of the Fare booked and hence will not be defined simply by the cabin?
Q: When will the mileage calculator show the new values?A: The mileage calculator will show the new values on 01st June 2012.
