Etihad Stadium - Melbourne

Etihad has extended its growing array of international sports sponsorships to Australia, with a deal which has seen the famous Telstra Dome in Melbourne re-named as the Etihad Stadium.
The deal was announced at a press conference held at the stadium attended by James Hogan and Ian Collins, chief executive of the Melbourne Stadiums Limited.
The 55,000 capacity stadium, opened in 2000, is a multi-purpose sports and entertainment stadium in the Docklands precinct of Melbourne, which caters for both sporting and entertainment events.
The five-year deal is our first major sporting sponsorship in Australia and sees Etihad branding featuring prominently inside and outside the stadium, including on perimeter signage and giant score boards.
It came into effect on 1 March 2009 - the start of the Australian Football League (AFL) season - just weeks before Etihad launched a non-stop, daily service to the Victorian capital.
